Four-point Inspections
Four-point Inspections are typically required by your insurance provider to determine the age and condition of your home’s primary components. The “four points” of the inspection are the roof, the HVAC system, the plumbing system, and the electrical system. These inspections are limited in scope but provide your insurance agent with information needed to evaluate the insurability of your home.
Wind Mitigation Inspections
Wind Mitigation Inspections are frequently done in conjunction with four-point inspections but are also requested regularly by homeowner’s who would like to lower their insurance premiums. This inspection evaluates structural components of the home and notes credits available to homes that possess key elements hardening the home against storm damage. By having us notate these hardening elements, your insurance carrier can often lower your rates.
Roof Certification Inspections
Roof Certification Inspections are often needed by homeowners when their insurance provider cannot verify the age or length of life left on their home’s roof. We perform a visual inspection and offer our opinion on the roof’s remaining life for the agent to use in determining insurability. These inspections are typically done when the life of the roof is in question but the other three components of the four-point inspection are already understood.
